FOUNDER
LETTER
Friends,
Score 3 Partners was born from a conviction that still animates us: dreams deserve defenders. Too often, courageous work stalls, not for lack of talent, but for lack of support at the right time. Gatekeeping, thin networks, and fragile capital paths keep daring stories from reaching audiences. Great voices wait. Communities wait. Culture waits.
We decided to stop waiting.
At Score 3 Partners, we stand with bold creatives who are ready to move culture forward. We honor the stories that shaped us and invite the next generation to speak into that legacy with fresh vision and real standards. We bring financial resources, social networks, and practical expertise together so artists can move from first spark to full stage without losing momentum or ownership. Our commitment is simple: champion brave storytellers.
Here is what that looks like in practice:
- We help brave ideas find the rooms where decisions get made, and we make those rooms more welcoming, more rigorous, and more accountable.
- We pair rising producers and artists with mentors who have walked the road and are willing to share the map.
- We steward beloved works with care and introduce new stories with conviction, so audiences meet both the familiar and the future.
- We measure ourselves by what lasts: stories that endure, artists who grow, and communities that feel the difference.
I have learned that the enemy is not competition; the enemy is inertia—projects stuck in development, deals that do not align incentives, performances that never meet the people who need them most. Our answer is motion with integrity: clear plans, fair economics, honest updates, and a bias for doing the work in public so others can learn and join.
What comes next?
First, more lift for new voices. We will deepen our pipeline from workshop to tour, and from stage to classroom, so strong stories travel and teach. That means commissioning earlier, capturing performances where it serves the work, and creating on-ramps for students and educators to engage with living theatre, not just read about it.
Second, stronger producers. We will keep growing the next wave of co-producers and lead producers with education, real responsibility, and real participation. The field needs more people who can carry a show from idea to impact; we aim to help build them.
Third, community in the center. We will continue to build with communities, not merely for them—partnering locally, sharing authorship and credit, and designing access so more people can see themselves onstage and backstage.
Fourth, stewardship and standards. We will honor what time has proven worthy and make room for what is emerging. Safety, dignity, and excellence are non-negotiable. The work must be worthy of the people who make it and the people who come to see it.
Our mission is clear and public: We champion bold storytellers to create work that moves cultures now and endures for generations.
If you are a creative with a brave story, we want to hear from you.
If you are an experienced producer, we invite your wisdom and your partnership.
If you are an emerging co-producer, we will help you learn the business and take a real seat at the table.
If you lead an arts nonprofit, we will support your mission with people and resources.
If you are an investor or donor, we will steward your belief with transparency and discipline.
If you are an audience member, teacher, or community leader, we will keep earning your trust through the work.
Our proof will not be our name on a marquee. It will be the builders who become mentors, the artists whose stories endure, and the neighborhoods that feel stronger because of both. When people can look at a stage, a program, a life changed, and say with quiet pride, that made a difference, we will know we have kept faith with this third score.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for believing. Now, let us get back to the work.
With gratitude and resolve,
Rashad Moore
